WHAT IS A COLD ROOM?

A cold room is an insulated, refrigerated room for the purpose of maintaining a constant temperature of between  2°C   to  4°C.

They can also be referred to as walk-in cold rooms.

A cold room should be accessible by at least one door. This door should be large enough for at least one person to walk through.

Cold rooms are mostly used is in the sciences, hospitality and food industries to preserve and avoid potential cross contamination of products stored.
